Right from the beginning, you will not like the boy’s father. This is so, despite the fact that he is handsome, quite successful, very wealthy, and an adept lover. So, you will not be surprised when I add that he is totally self-absorbed.

On his way to the top, he courts a young woman, produces a child, and then discovers that he has become a single parent. His son cramps his style, so he hires a string of sweet young things to help care for him, and guess what? This becomes a disaster for him, and more importantly for his boy.

Then he hires Nana, and his problem is solved. More importantly, Nana comes into his son’s life and brings him love. She literally takes over and raises him as her own. Before either of them see it coming, David becomes Nana’s Boy, and a bond of love is forged that lasts a lifetime. And as this happens, he grows up to become a man of principle and compassion, totally unlike his father.

As you follow his story, you will be delighted with how Nana gets the boy’s father to do her bidding. As David prospers in his profession and in his personal relationships, he never forgets the lessons his Nana taught him. This becomes crucial in the last chapters of our story; be prepared to discover a very surprising ending.

No one is born an enigma, a one-of-a-kind puzzle. They emerge by a combination of forces: genetics, those who raised them, and a series of life’s circumstances. This is a story of such a man who became a beloved clergyman, but remained an enigma. Yet, his bishop saw him as a royal pain in the ass, who kept successfully staying out of his reach and avoided knuckling under his authority.

The man’s congregation simply goes along its merry way, being served and fed by the pastor they loved. His church, again ignoring many of the bishop’s wise directives, continues to run like a Swiss clock. Everybody is happy except his bishop. His congregation knew that he was an enigma, but he was their enigma and they loved him. And so, he continues to march to a different drummer, to the irritation of his superior. Along the way, you will smile and laugh!

But then the bishop begins to become a little Napoleon, so the area pastors look to The Enigma to fight him off. What follows is exciting and very humorous.

Yes, she was a German Lutheran farm girl and he was an Irish Catholic city boy. But after they fell in love, they were too cowardly to tell their families about whom they wanted to marry.

Well, they agreed: “We’ll Not Tell” and left the impression with each parent that they were bringing their future spouse into their faith. How they pulled this off presents a humorous situation which will delight you. In fact, it may also surprise you as to how far they take this into the future.

The young Irishman joins his father’s investment firm and prospered. The farm girl becomes a very talented contract and business lawyer. Together they build an especially loving marriage, but still their motto was, We’ll Not Tell.

Woven into their story are two clergymen who were special to them while growing up. Through them they met and became more than friends, but thereafter they joined forces to get them to tell.

When this story is over, you will be surprised at how much their two denominations have in common. All along the way are laughs, drama, mountains to climb, and surprising victories.

Already as a little boy, Andrej began to see those he loved being taken away from him. As all of this was happening, he was faithfully following in his parent’s footsteps, who were dedicated to helping others. The loss of his loved ones continued, but despite this, he grew to be a very special and unique healer.

Then one day, he looked around himself, and saw that there was No One Left, whom he loved and who loved him. And so, he decided on a bold move; he pulled up stakes and moved his practice 3,000 miles away. Here he would start over and find people to love, and maybe even people to love him. Very quickly, he was seen as a man with a good heart, an adept counselor, and one whose love for people could help them put their lives back together again.

Woven throughout this story is a promise he gave to his mother on her death bed, a promise he tried to forget, but couldn’t.  In the end, he keeps that promise and finds what he is looking for.
